Meet Ron Bauer
Ron Bauer is a seasoned venture capitalist and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience financing and building innovative businesses across Life Sciences, Technology, EdTech, and Natural Resources. As the founder of Theseus Capital Ltd., his family office investment vehicle, Ron has partnered with world-renowned entrepreneurs, scientists, and prestigious academic institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Cornell, and Hebrew University to launch and grow transformative ventures.
With expertise spanning early-stage angel and seed funding to public mergers, IPOs, and trade sales, Ron has a proven ability to guide dynamic startups toward successful exits. He has played a pivotal role in M&A and corporate finance transactions and has been a principal investor in companies listed on major exchanges in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
Among his notable achievements, Ron co-founded Turkana Energy, which merged with Africa Oil (TSX: AOI) in 2009. The project grew to a peak market value of over three billion CAD, having attracted over one billion CAD in equity funding and significant investment from global partners like Tullow Oil and Total.
Ron has also been a founding investor in several successful companies, including 180 Life Sciences (NASDAQ: ATNF), Pasithea Therapeutics (NASDAQ: KTTA), Stran & Co. (NASDAQ: STRN), Genflow Biosciences (LSE: GENF), Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals (LSE: HEMO), and Cognetivity Neurosciences (CSE: CGN).
Known for his ability to adapt to shifting market conditions and identify opportunities across diverse sectors, Ron holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and continues to support groundbreaking ventures worldwide.
